Toshiba button-type zinc-air battery is an innovative, "resource
conserving" battery, because it uses the oxygen in the atmosphere as the
positive active material.
2-3 times the energy capacity of our similarly-sized conventional mercury button-type batteries, because the bulk of the filling space inside cell is dedicated to the negative active material (zinc). Nearly 20% lighter than our similarly-sized conventional silver oxide batteries, because the oxygen in the air is used as the positive active material. Flat and stable operating voltage throughout the discharge life. Do not remove the seal from the battery except when using it. Reaction with the oxygen in the air starts, and the battery will be in a usable state about 1-2 minutes, after removing the seal. The contact layer film is made of new material, and minimizes self-discharge to extend the service life. Best suited for pagers, hearing aids, etc. | Characteristic | |
